MITRE: A Public-Private Partnership takes on Real-World Cybersecurity Issue

Protecting our nation's critical networks and data is the very definition of a team sport. That's why the government has created a center for collaboration where MITRE, the business community, and academia are tackling shared cyber challenges.  The article featured Devin Wynne, a cybersecurity graduate student at Hampton University, who interned with MITRE during Summer 2015.

Hampton University placed 2nd at the ADMI 2015 CyberSecurity Competition, 3rd for the Graduate Poster Presentatin (Charles Scott), and 1st place for Undergraduate Oral Paper presentation (Jameelah Young).

The UAF Be "U" Hackathon League is an event designed to leverage the talents and resources of the emerging collegiate community to enable students to create innovative technologies. The Hampton team was one of 12 teams selected for the opportunity to create innovative "Apps" with the support of advisors and mentor-coaches comprised of technology industry leaders. The article featuerd Gabrielle Buchanan and C. Cameron Peele, gradate students in information assurance degree program at Hampton University.
